Doi Inthanon National Park entrance is 75 kilometers south of Chiang Mai, and the route to this area is an hours ride on a fast tarmac road with various sights to see on the way.
Once inside the park, the road is very twisty, steep in places and takes you to the peak of DoiInthanon (‘Doi’ means mountain) , Thailand’s highest mountain, at 2565 meters (8,415 feet).
The ride up the mountain can take another hour, allowing you to stop at waterfalls & bathe in rivers. This is a great one day trip.
There are many things to see near & at the summit, the twin pagodas, nature walks through the forest and enjoy the view points and the different climate found at this altitude with it’s unique mix of flora & fauna.
